FPM Library Orientation: Services

1) Research Help:

  • Research help is available during library hours.  In person, via phone 080 2699 3113, Email or send your question using Ask Us. (see right side of this website).

2) Suggest a Purchase:

  • Book/Non-Book Materials: International and out of print titles will take about 4- 6 weeks. If you need an item more quickly, please mention a desired shipping time on the purchase request form . Additional fees and shipping charges may be added for rush orders. The standard fee for rush orders is $10.00 plus expedited shipping charges.
  • Journals: New journal requisitions may take 4 -6 weeks for delivery to begin. IIMB prefers online format only unless print is mandated by the publisher. Please fill the form to send your requisition .
  • Database: All requisitions for new databases will be reviewed by the Library committee. Please send your requisition using this form.

3) Article Request:

  • If you need any help in collecting data, acquiring research papers and other resources, please click here to fill the form. We will revert as soon as possible.

* Please check the Journal Finder and J-Gate before you submit your request.

4) Inter Library Loan:

  • Documents which are not available in the library can be requested by filling the form. Please note that all such requests are to be used for individual and private study only.

5) Access to Special Digital Collection: 

  • Digitized census reports from 1881 to 1941 and NSSO data sets pre- 38th rounds, Annual Survey of Industries. Click here (for credentials write mail to libraryit@iimb.ac.in) to see the collection. Check the copyright guidelines.

6) RemoteXs:

  • 24*7 Off Campus Library Electronic resource access. (Please send an email to libraryit@iimb.ac.in for more information.)

7) Group Study Rooms (Forthcoming Service):

  • Discussion room, meeting room, digital wall, hands on lab and special databases are available for prior booking using this online portal. IIMB community can pre-book the rooms in the Library for a specific date and time, maximum of 2 hours in a day. You have to select the slot as per the availability and fill the registration form, will get a confirmation email to registered email id, and have to confirm or cancel the booking through the link that you received at the time of registration. If you didn’t confirm the registration in a stipulated time, the booking will be automatically canceled by the system. for more details please click here.
