Using Copyright and Licensed Content

Streaming videos from online streaming services

Streaming videos from online streaming services.

Streaming services such as NETFLIX, Amazon, and other sites are governed by the license agreements between streaming service and the subscriber. These may not include streaming in the classroom or through Moodle. If no other alternative is available for streaming video, and there is a regular use of such videos, students may be encouraged to subscribe during the length of the course. A small snippet may be allowed for copying with a copyright warning that beyond that limit, further clipping may be construed as infringement.

For videos purchased with performance rights in the classroom, please contact library@iimb.ernet.in
