Professor Ojha started teaching at the University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada, during his doctoral programme. Prior to joining IIMB, he was an Assistant Professor at Laurentian University, Sudbury, Canada. He worked as an engineer in the Bombay Division of the Oil and Natural Gas Commission, before pursuing doctoral studies in management. He has been an active researcher, having presented his work in conferences of repute and published in domestic and international journals, and has contributed to several book chapters. He has also been the Chair of the dissertation committees of several doctoral candidates, who are today, active academics and researchers, besides being a member of the dissertation committees of many more. He has been a reviewer for conferences and journals and on the editorial board of journals. He has been involved with academic administration in various capacities at IIMB. He has served as Chairperson (Admissions), Chairperson (Post Graduate Programme in Software Enterprise Management), and Chairperson (Executive Education), besides being a member of several other academic committees. |

Dr. K Rama Patnaik has a Doctoral Degree in Library and Information Science from the Andhra University of Visakhapatnam, India and the Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Library and Information Science from Andhra University. Her Thesis on “Marketing of Library and Information Services in Indian Libraries: Present Trends and Future Perspectives” as adjudicated as an excellent thesis by School of Information Science, Michigan University in 2002. She also holds a Master’s degree in Sociology. She had secured gold medals in both Master’s and Bachelor’s programmes of Library and Information Science. She is with IIMB for more than nine years now, and before joining IIM Bangalore, she was with two leading National Law school libraries. Dr. Patnaik was a member of Member of “Study Group on Libraries in Higher Education” as part of the Karnataka Knowledge Commission, Chaired by Dr. Kasturi Rangan from 2009-2011 and was also a visiting fellow with Council for Social Development, Southern Regional Centre, Hyderabad. She was a regular resource person for all the workshops conducted by Council for Social Development under the aegis of ICSSR (Indian Council of Social Science Research) for user instruction sessions to faculty and research scholars on plagiarism, academic ethics, review of the literature, using online content for research, during 2011- 2015. She was awarded Emerald LIS Research Fund Award for best research proposal among South Asian Librarians in 2012 for writing a research proposal and Junior Research Fellowship by University Grants Commission India for qualifying national level test NET/JRF for pursuing her Doctoral studies. Dr. Patnaik is also a regular speaker on various national conferences. She has published one book and fourteen papers in reputed journals also course writer for INFLIBNET e-pathshala, University of Hyderabad and B R Ambedkar Open University Programmes on Library and Information science. Her areas of professional interest are Integrating Technology in Information services, current trends in Management of Electronic resources, and creating subject profiles with an instructional design using Libguides. She has also created a web tutorial using libguides (cognitive load theory) on using copyright and licensed digital content for IIMB faculty and students. She is a consultant and reviewer of an online course on “Avoiding Plagiarism” (Indian edition) published by Oxford University Press in association with Epegum in January 2018 which is used by many libraries in India. |

The creator and editor of Library Technology Guides (librarytechnology.org), held a variety of positions at the Vanderbilt University Libraries in Nashville, TN from 1985 through May 2012, including as the Director for Innovative Technologies and Research and as the Executive Director of the Vanderbilt Television News Archive. He is popularly known for his Library Technology Reports (LTR) by the American Library Association (ALA) and the Annual Library Systems Reports. He writes a monthly column for Computers in Libraries, is a contributing editor for Smart Libraries Newsletter published by ALA Techsource, has written the Automation System Marketplace feature published in Library Journal since 2002. He is on the editorial boards for Information Standards Quarterly published by NISO and Electronic Library. Dr. Swati Bhattacharyya received her master’s degrees in Documentation and Information Science from Indian Statistical Institute, Bangalore and in Computer Applications from Indira Gandhi National Open University, New Delhi. She was further awarded M.Phil and Ph.D. by Syracuse University, the USA. She worked in different types of libraries, National Metallurgical Laboratory (Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, India), Indian Institute of Management Calcutta, University of California Riverside, to name a few. Dr. Bhattacharyya also taught a few courses in India and abroad. She worked, for many years, as a Business Librarian and has now moved to the domain of Scholarly Communication. Any issue that brings human/user at the center create a passion in her to work with the issue. Originally a researcher in the area of Human Information Behavior, she took a keen interest in other areas such as what causes users to use or not to use technology and how the use of technology is shaped by the context of the users. She strongly believes that technologies alone cannot solve the problem that both libraries and users are facing today. Hence, she uses the lenses from Social and Behavioral Sciences to develop a better understanding of successes or failures in the information world. |

Robin Rice is Data Librarian and Head, Research Data Support at the University of Edinburgh, where she has been providing research data support services for twenty years, within Information Services. She is a co-author of The Data Librarian's Handbook and co-creator of the Research Data Management Training (MANTRA) online course and of the Research Data Management and Sharing MOOC on Coursera. As well as leading a team in supporting University researchers with issues across the data lifecycle, she leads the Research Data Service as service owner and is responsible for delivering the 2017-2020 Research Data Management Roadmap, with development funding from the University. Dr. Sreekumar is an adjunct professor in Humanities and Liberal Arts in Management at Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (IIMK). He is the Chief Information Officer of IIMK. He has the distinction of leading the Library and the Learning Resources team at IIMK to bag the first Wiley Award 2015 for IIM Kozhikode, for "Digitally Transformed Academic Library in India." Dr. Sreekumar is the Chief Architect of the Indian Business Museum at IIMK which was inaugurated and dedicated to the nation, in 2013. During 2007-2008, he served on sabbatical as Visiting Professor in the Faculty of Computer Science & Information Technology of the University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Dr. Sreekumar has received the AIMS International Outstanding Adjunct Management Faculty Award - 2016. Prior to this, was the Chief Librarian of the prestigious management institute XLRI, Jamshedpur. After retirement in 2003, has been engaged in consultancy and advisory work with various institutions. Prof. Pravakar Rath is a well-known library educator and researcher in the field of library and information science for the last 25 years out of which 14 years as Professor. Prof. Rath worked as a faculty member in Indira Gandhi National Open University for more than 11 years and contributed to BLIS, MLIS, Ph. D programmes and was instrumental in design, development, and delivery of PGDLAN programme through distance mode. Prof. Rath received IASLIC Best Teacher Award in 2013, Ambassador for Peace (2014) by Universal Peace Federation of India, New Delhi, Fulbright Fellowship, (IST),USA in the year 2003-04 and visited a number of countries namely UK, USA, Canada, Singapore, Malaysia, Sri Lanka on different academic and professional assignments. Prof. Rath assumed the charge of Head of the Department since August 2004 and started two years MLIS integrated course and Ph.D. in 2005 and M.Phil in 2007. The MLIS course was further revised in 2012 and 2015 based on the Choice Based Credit System as per UGC guideline. Besides nine Ph.D. and five M.Phil degrees have been awarded under the guidance of Prof. Rath. Prof. Rath conducted as many as 25 professional development programmes, an author of 7 books ( Single author, joint author and edited),contributed as many as 35 papers including theme paper and invited paper, chaired a number of Technical Sessions, acted as Panelist, and delivered Key Note Address in many international and national conferences and seminars. Prof. Rath is associated with as many as 100 universities and national level institutions including UGC, ICSSR, ISI, ICMR on different academic and research assignments. At IIM Bangalore, Suraj delivers core courses on – Public Administration and Law for the Fellow students, and Business Law for the MBA Programme, and the Executive Management Programmes. Suraj had jointly coordinated the Phase-IV Mid-Career Training Programme in 2008, 2009 and 2010 for the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) Officers, and regularly delivers technical sessions to Mid-career programmes of various All India Services on “Judicial Review of Policymaking”, “WTO & TRIPs”; and “Intellectual Property Rights & Data Protection”. Professor Georgios Giannakopoulos is the Head of the Department of Archival, Library and Information Studies at the University of West Attica (Athens, Greece). He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Athens and two bachelor’s degrees: one from the Technological Educational Institute of Athens in Library Science and one from Panteion University in Political Science. Professor Giannakopoulos moved to the Department at the end of 2004 as Associate Professor following a distinguished career as Director to the General State Archives of Greece (elected to the post in 2002), after fifteen years of relevant experience at the Centre of Asia Minor Studies. He also used to be, for a long period, Teaching Associate at the Hellenic Open University (Greek History module). Professor Giannakopoulos is the author of books and journal articles and the editor of scientific Journals, books, conference proceedings, collective works, and albums. He is the Chair of the annual International Conference on Integrated Information (ICININFO) and the Editor-in-chief of the Journal of the Integrated Information Management. |

Daphne Kyriaki-Manessi has a Ph.D. from the Faculty of Information Science of the University of Toronto, Canada. She also holds an MLIS (Master of Library and Information Science) from Dalhousie University, Halifax, Canada. Currently, she is a Professor at the Technological and Educational Institute of Athens at the Department of Library Science and Information Systems. She has served as the Special Secretary of the Greek Ministry of Education for four years (2000-2004) responsible for the country’s Libraries, Archives, Educational Television, and Educational Media. She has taught as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Library and Archives of the Ionian University, Corfu, Greece from 1995 to 2004. She taught courses on a. Metadata structures and principles for securing interoperability b.documentation principles and standards c. research methods with an emphasis on social research and research tools d. information organization and knowledge management and e. subject approach to information. She has participated in many research projects or has been the leader of research teams (or whole projects) focusing on repositories, information organization and subject access to information. she was an expert consultant to the National Documentation Centre of the National Hellenic Research Foundation from 1996 to 2016. Her work there focused on repositories, citation indexes, subject organization, linked data and semantics with an emphasis on thesauri and ontologies. She also teaches at the graduate program “Museum Studies” of the University of Athens (from 2008 to present). Academic interests include structures of data and their description standards as well as their applications in the repository environment along with the structures supporting open access policies. Subject approach to information is also a main point of interest. Part of her academic educational activities focuses on curriculum development for information professionals and alumni follow up. Currently, she is also the team leader of the TEI Research Team partners to the CrossCult Project, a Horizon 2020 venture. |

Dr. Ioannis Triantafyllou received his Ph.D. from National Technical University of Athens, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering in 2003. Currently, he is an Associate Professor at the Department of Archival, Library & Information Studies of the University of West Attica. He has worked in the past as a scientific associate in many European and Greek research projects at the Institute for Language and Speech Processing (ILSP / RC "Athena"). Since 2016 he is a member of the research team of the University of West Attica for the CrossCult program (Horizon2020). N V Sathyanarayana is a former librarian, information entrepreneur and information services and products developer rolled into one. He is the Founder Director of Informatics India Ltd., – a leading Information Products and Services Company, established in 1980. Currently, he is the Chairman and Managing Director of Informatics. He started his career as a librarian and worked in different institutions s such as Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, HMT, SK&F for seven years before promoting his brainchild Informatics. He pioneered the promotion of e-information usage culture in India long before the internet by introducing International online database access (1984) and was the first to introduce and market CD-ROM technology products in India (1988). He is also associated with the several professional/academic bodies connected with the LIS profession and information industry. Dr. Nishtha Anilkumar did her graduation in Biochemistry from St Xavier's College, Ahmedabad. She was the first ranker in BLISc in 1987 and MLISc in 1992 from MS University, Baroda. She completed her doctoral research in 2012 in bibliometrics. She has more than 30 years of work experience in Special and Public Libraries, wherein she got hands-on experience of the application of modern technological tools. She has more than 30 presentations and publications to her credit. Since the last 11 years, she is heading the PRL Library spread over four campuses of PRL. She has been actively involved in the move towards digital library in PRL. She has been responsible for the successful implementation of the RFID system, Institutional Repository and ETD in the PRL library. |

Dr. B M Meera is currently working as the Librarian at the Raman Research Institute, Bangalore. She has rich experience in managing academic libraries involving digital information retrieval systems. She obtained MLibSc from University of Mysore in 1982 and Ph.D. from Bangalore University in 1998. Before joining RRI, she served at the Indian Statistical Institute, Bangalore for 24 years and at Central Machine Tool Institute, Bangalore for three years. She has authored around 60 research papers in national and international journals and presented papers in National and International conferences. She was the Vice president of Karnataka State Library Association for a term of 3 years from 2013 to 2016. She is on the Editorial Board of SRELS Journal of Information Management. She is one of the editors of the S R Ranganathan Classics -1 and title of the edited book is – ‘The science and the profession of libraries – A visionaries perspective.’ She was on the advisory committee of many national and international conferences. She is also a resource person in many refresher programs and academic events. She has guided a few MPhil students. She plays a major role in conducting outreach activities to promote science education and communication through her parent organization. Dr Meera is a recipient of the “Award of Excellence” on the occasion of International Women’s Day in 2010 organized by Chambers academy and public relations Council of India, in association with Al Ameen Institute of Management Studies and International Business school , Bangalore for “Outstanding Contribution in the field of academics and information science”. Dr. Shalini Urs is an internationally recognized academic started her academic career in 42 years back, joining the University of Mysore in 1976. In addition to being an academic, she is an institution builder whose brainchild is the MYRA School of Business (www.myra.ac.in) and the International School of Information Management (www.isim.ac.in). As an information scientist, Dr. Urs has taken a 360-degree view of information and has researched on issues ranging from the theoretical foundations of information sciences to Informatics. Her areas of research include—Information Retrieval, Ontology Development, and Social Network Analysis. She conceptualized and developed the Vidyanidhi Digital Library and eScholarship portal in the year 2000 with funding from the Government of India, Department of Scientific and Industrial Research under their National Information System for Science and Technology (NISSAT), which became a national initiative with further funding from the Ford Foundation. She pioneered the field of digital libraries and Electronic Theses and Dissertations (ETD) in India. She built an online digital library way back in 2000, much before the digital era captured the imagination in India. She has published papers in international journals and peer-reviewed conference proceedings published by Springer, Emerald, and others. Dr. Urs speaks on wide-ranging topics focusing on primarily ‘Technology for Learning and Development.’ Dr. Urs has won many awards—including the Best Paper Award at Infotex 1995; NDLTD - Adobe Leadership award in 2004; Emerald Research Fund Award 2007-08. She was awarded the Mortenson Distinguished Lecturer 2010 by the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign, USA and was invited to deliver their annual lecture series where she lectured on how digital technologies have transformed the learning experience. She was conferred with the Women Leadership Award by Dewang Mehta Business School awards in 2014 and Education Evangelist Award of India award by Skill Tree Foundation in 2015 for her outstanding contribution to higher education. She was a Fulbright scholar and a visiting professor at the Department of Computer Science, Virginia Tech, the USA during 2000 - 2001. She was an adjunct faculty at the International Institute of Information Technology, Bangalore (IIITB) during 2005-2007. She has also been a visiting professor at the Indian Statistical Institute, Bangalore during 1998 and 1999. She has published more than 200 papers in peer-reviewed journals and prestigious academic conferences. She has served as a UNESCO expert on several occasions and has been commissioned to conduct many studies in the last ten years. With decades of experience in academia and educational entrepreneurship, she founded the MYRA School of Business in 2010. |

Finally appointed as the Director of Department of Public Libraries and served for 3½ years and retired on superannuation on 31.03.2008, after completing 32 years of service in the Department of Public libraries. As per the orders of Ministry of Culture, Government of India; appointed as the Director General, National Library of India, Kolkata; and served for two years. After retirement joined Indira Gandhi National Centre for Arts, Southern Regional Centre, Bangalore as Consultant (Administration) and served for 18 months. Later joined M/S Asian Fab Tech Ltd. Bangalore, as Advisor and served for 18 months. Later joined M/S India Illustrated Classics, Bangalore as an Advisor and served for two years. He was now serving as President-Karnataka State Library Association, Bangalore; President, MILAN, Mysore and Vice President, Karnataka Jain Association, Bangalore; Member of Karnataka state Library Authority, Member State Level Planning Committee (RRRLF). Dr. Basheerhamad Shadrach is the Asia Coordinator for the World Wide Web Foundation- a not-for-profit organization founded by Sir Tim Berners-Lee, the inventor of the World Wide Web - for its Alliance for Affordable Internet program. In this capacity, Dr. Shadrach helps to build coalitions of private, public and civil society organizations to advance the shared aim of affordable access to both mobile and fixed broadband internet in Asia. Having been the Founding Chair, Dr. Shadrach also advises the Indian Public Library Movement which he passionately helped to establish in 2015. Prior to this, Dr. Shadrach served as the Global CEO of the Telecentre.org Foundation in Manila that had its coalitions in over 50 countries around the world. Prior to that, Dr. Shadrach worked for IDRC, Canada, managing ICT4D research grants in Asia, including the Mission 2007: every village a knowledge center initiative of India led by Professor M S Swaminathan. During his tenure at IDRC, also as the global head of telecentre.org Academy program, Dr. Shadrach developed the ecosystem for training one million knowledge workers at the grassroots around the world. In partnership with ITU, Dr. Shadrach was the key person behind the lunch of the “Telecentre Women: Digital Literacy Campaign” which offered digital skills to over 1 Million women worldwide in March 2014. Dr. Shadrach was the global coordinator of the Grassroots Caucus at WSIS in Geneva and Tunis. He also led the G8 Dot Force funded, Open Knowledge Network in Asia. As the Global Head of Transparency International, Dr. Shadrach helped to launch the first ever global knowledge resource on Anti-Corruption in the 11th IACC in Seoul in 2003. In his three-decade-long career, Dr. Shadrach has also served in senior management capacities in a variety of organizations such as the British Council, Transparency International, and One World International. He has consulted for the ADB; DFID; ITU; UNDP; the Open University, Practical Action and Article 19 in the UK; Sukhothai Thammarithat Open University, Thailand; and, the ICTA of Sri Lanka. For his thesis on measuring the impact of rural information access initiatives, Dr. Shadrach has been awarded a Ph.D. by Loughborough University in the UK. |

Mr. P Jayarajan retired in 2003 as Head of the British Council Libraries in India, with the responsibility to manage the largest and most successful library network of the Council in the world. Between 1972 and 2003, had worked in various capacities in the British Council, including as the founder-librarian of its library in Hyderabad. Prior to this, was the Chief Librarian of the prestigious management institute XLRI, Jamshedpur. After retirement in 2003, has been engaged in consultancy and advisory work with various institutions.
