External Membership Details

External Membership Policy

IIM Bangalore library offers membership facilities for Research Scholars, Academicians, Academic Institutions, Corporate firms, and IIMB Alumni. Apart from that, renewal of the existing memberships are available.

You must send an email to library@iimb.ac.in one week before your visit. .

This membership involves only borrowing facility and reference to the print collection. Borrowing privileges do not include articles, data, reports, etc. from our electronic collection.

Access to our library and memberships are governed by rules and regulations of the IIMB library, which are revised from time to time.

Visitors are expected to :

  • Respect private and Institute property within IIMB premises
  • Abide by all Institute and Libraries’ policies and terms of access to our library
  • Must show valid identification and library membership ID upon request
  • Use library resources for academic purposes only.

Note:  

  • 18% of GST will be added to the Library service charges
  • We will provide the onsite browsing facility to the limited journals only on Wednesday

    Reference/Short Term Membership Fee

    The library offers a reference or short-term membership for research scholars, academicians, etc., with certain terms and conditions.
    Duration of the Access Service Charge GST Total
    One Day Rs.50 18% Rs.59

    Note:  

  • You will not get access to any databases, However, we will provide an onsite browsing facility for limited journals for an hour. You will not get the soft copies of the articles. Per visit, you will get a maximum of ten articles in print format. You have to pay a printing charge of Rs.1 per page.
  • We will provide the onsite browsing facility to the limited journals only on Wednesday
