Census Data: Profile

Census report covers socio-economic statistical data about India and all the states like general description, population, religion and sect, sex and age, marriage & co, infirmities, birthplace and mother tongue, languages, towns, caste and other social divisions, instruction, caste & tribe, civil condition, race, occupation, accommodation, and occupation, etc.
 

1. The library has full census reports from 1881 to 1941, and partially data are available for the year 2014-15. These data are available in PDF format with Metadata which is accessible through the CD-Mirroring platform.
2. Census of India 2011 Data – 147 towns having population about 3 lakhs and above

 A census workstation is set up at International Data Centre from which comprehensive census reports from 1991-2011 are available.
